The two grades of vinyl fence are residential and commercial. Of the two you want to choose the commercial grade simply because it’s stronger and more durable than residential. What Are UV Inhibitors, Impact Modifiers, and Stabilizers For? UV inhibitors, impact modifiers, and stabilizers are good for protecting your cheap vinyl fencing (cheap as in low price—not low quality). They protect it from the sun (which used to be vinyl’s biggest enemy), from exposure to nature, and from impact (being run into by animals, machinery, people, etc.). Make sure that the vinyl you purchase in your fence contains these ingredients or you’re paying for a sub par fence.
